the food is fantastic but the ordering process and wait are terrible. They always seem understaffed. They make one sub at a time. and food in a group never comes out together or ever close to the same time. As a cook I know it doesn't take 40 minutes to grill some bread and heat up some meat no matter how busy you get. if they can get their stuff together and it be a great place to eat

Fantastic subs & friendly fast service. A medium godfather on everything bread is just great.

Been to three different Dibellas and this one has been the most consistent for great service. The subs are awesome! Truthfully I've only had the Godfather every time I have been there and the only thing I recommend is not to have it grilled. It somehow makes it salty as heck but still better than some other chains. I joined their email club and that is the only reason I am not giving them 5 stars. They have the worse coupons/specials for their club. A free pickle? A free box of mini cookies for a catering order? If you are not going to give worthwhile deals to your loyal customers you should cancel the club and just rely on the great subs themselves. My 2 cents.

Well, you have Quizno's, Subway, Jimmy Johns, and Firehouse as competition. Frankly, they are serviceable, but not memorable. I asked a friend, "Hey, what's the best sub place around here?" He told me to come here. He was right. DiBella's is clearly superior when it comes to subs. I hesitate to give a sub place 5 stars, so let's call it 4.5 stars. The meat is generous, the bread is a higher quality. I have had the DiBella's Dip and the Turkey, and I was pleased with both. They don't have the variety of veggies that Subway does, and that's fine. The meat, in my opinion, is the star of the show. They also do not drown your sub in dressing, with which again, I am fine. I got a meal, which includes a drink and cookie/chips. It's about $11.50, which puts it in the same price range as the other sub shops. If you like cookies, try theirs. Not a bad little dessert after a delicious sub. Dang, now I'm hungry after writing this review.

The secret to a great sub is fresh meat and great bread. They have both. Outstanding subs to enjoy as a meal or to serve at a party. Simply delicious. Great service, too.

I have gone to a bunch of sub shops and this definitely takes the cake. I got the God Father sub on an everything bun. Let me tell you, the subs at Dibellas are hands down the best subs you can get. They literally fill the entire sub with meat and everything is so fresh. The bun is excellent and fresh as well. If you have an option between Dibellas and your average sub shop, you should definitely choose Dibellas!

I kinda feel like I'm being generous by giving this place 3 stars but there isn't anything really special about this sandwich place. The sodium is also off the charts for some of the food selections. It's worth a shot if you're into that kind of thing, if it's a toss up, I wouldn't go.

First time here today and I was pretty impressed for the most part. When my boyfriend and I entered the restaurant we were greeted immediately by cheery workers. There's a sign that reads (something along the lines of): Please wait here for next available sub maker. So we waited. And waited while the workers just stood around. A gentleman told us to walk down to the end of the prep area to order. Perhaps they should move that sign or better yet just get rid of it. My boyfriend and I both orders the medium Godfather. Medium is 10 inch sub. Godfather has genoa salami, capicola and spicy ham. You can pick your toppings and cheeses. We both got lettuce and provolone with mayo. What's nice about Dibellas is you can pick your bread. I got seseme bread, while my boyfriend got everything bread. You can either get your meats cold or grilled. We both picked grilled because to us that's the only way to eat a sub. The bread is fresh but is not toasted. When you pay you have to repeat your order (that you already told the sandwich maker) to the cashier. Perhaps they could get a ticket system so you don't have repeat yourself. The subs were pretty good. Definitely more bread that meat so if you love your carbs this place is for you! Very filling and really tasty. You can easily taste all the different meats and toppings in every bite. For two medium subs and a medium pop is was around $17. A little pricy but you get a lot for your money. Very large dinning area and patio seating outside. They have specialty subs available or you can create your own with up to three meats. Toppings and cheese are included in price. Would I be back? Sure! I wouldn't say it's the best sub I ever had- like the slogan says- but it's kinda ranked up there next to Penn Station for me.

Amazing subs!! This is what you should call a "good eat". My boyfriend and I always share 1 large sub for $9.99. The sub lasts us at least a meal or two. We get the everything bread with capicola, spicy ham, & roast beef (grilled) along with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, onion, sweet peppers, hot peppers, banana peppers, black olives, swiss Cheese, & DiBella's famous oil dressing. Service is always good. Friendly employees. You can also call ahead if you do not want to wait for your sub. I never had to wait more than 10 minutes for my sub.

If I'm eating a sub or in the mood for one this is where I go to get it. Excellent bread that is made in house! The god father grilled and the steak n cheese are my top favs! There hot peppers n oil they add is really good!

The EVERYTHING BREAD! And the Cheese-steak make it 5 stars! Love the grilled meat, mushrooms & onions! Plus the flavored/seasoned olive oil. The bride & I split a large cheese steak & each have a 1/2 leftover for later! the sandwich maker gave me some buffalo sauce on the side YUMMO! The GM Mr Fuller stopped by our table to check on his work of art, and yes it was VERY GOOD. just an f.y.i This plaza is jammed packed with restaurant friendly choices, adding to parking woes DiBellas Piada Itailain Street Food Qdoba Starbucks Menchies Yogurt There is a rear parking lot & rear door for DiBellas!

DiBella's is pretty good. I don't know if it's as good as other sub/sandwich shops, but that's your own prerogative. I like the Philly Cheese. You can add bacon (for extra), add all the veggies you want, pick the cheese you want, and the bread. (The "Everything" bread is the only way to go, as far as I'm concerned.) Their "famous" oil is pretty good too, but nothing too amazing. I won't be out on a pulpit telling others about it. The chicken was cooked well, nice and white. The cheese was good and was not "too cheesy" where it took over the taste of everything else. The grilled peppers and onions were good, and I added lettuce, tomatoes and banana peppers. Overall, it was pretty filling. It was also a little pricey. I paid almost $9 for a medium-sized sub, which I guess is comparable to places like Subway that are not as good. Is this better than Firehouse? Yes. Is it better than Quizno's? I'd say not. It's different, though, and is a good quick meal -- that is unless there are many people waiting. I went in on a Saturday and waited 10 minutes just to be served, and there were only two people ahead of me. AKA, the place was borderline empty. I'd give it a try, with the everything bread, and then go from there. They have a big menu you can customize. The parking lot is a real cluster over there, too.

Great subs. A small size is plenty even for the biggest appetite. I have had the cheesesteak, Godfather, and meatball. All were fantastic. The only critisism is the service. Not always consistent. My first visit: I ordered and it was not that busy, but they never prepared my order, after 10 mins I went to the counter and they said a few more minutes. 10 more minutes went by and they asked me what kind of sub I was waiting on. Ummm the one I ordered 20 minutes ago. Cheesesteak. They made up my order and made it with everything instead of NO PEPPERS on anything. They had to redo the order and it took another 10 minutes. The second visit: Sunday evening around 7pm. Nobody in the place and I stood at the counter.l, and stood at the counter. Two guys behind the counter, no greeting, just came up to me and said, "what can I get you". I ordered a godfather grilled and they messed up the order. Third visit: lunchtime on a Tuesday, not busy, better more pleasant service, and all subs made in ample time to specified order. Hopefully, the service will get better. I only had good service 1 out of three times. So, more consistency in customer service would be helpful.

This place could have been a five if the staff wasn't so annoying. The food was fantastic, but the process to get it is something to be desired. After placing my order at the counter I had to go to the register and repeat it so I could be rung up. I ordered two sandwiches to go and so they gave me to different numbers. Then my one sandwich came up several minutes before my other. It was dis just weird. Also, I had to say no at least three times to a beverage, I understand upselling, but come on now. The bread was amazingly fresh and the sandwich was a delight.

Love this place. If you are into big sandwiches with big taste you have found the right place. The bread alone is worth the trip. I'm a fan of the Chicken Philly sandwich on everything bread. The regular Philly is great too. The chicken Cowboy is a favorite of my wife and daughter. All in all, great service , great value and great food. I would definitely recommend this place to out of town friends.

I am a vegetarian and usually at places like this I don't expect much. However, this was the BEST veggie sub I've ever had (as the slogan says). Bread was soft and veggies were seasoned and I had them serve it hot - the house dressing is incredible. I too don't like having to repeat my order before I pay - but other than that - experience was great - I will TOTALLY be back. Great stop for other vegetarians out there.

First time there, ordered 3 subs. The first negative thing I saw was the grill person grabbing a piece of chicken off the grill while cooking my food and putting it in his mouth. The second issue I had when I got home was my sub did not have on it what I ordered. The third issue was we found a long black hair in one of the sandwiches. Probably won't go back!!! Just seemed like kids running a restaurant in there without a lot of training!

The sandwich I had was okay, service was incredible though. Every employee on the line greeted me and when my to-go order was ready they brought it to me in the dining area and all bid me a good night as I left. Maybe something else I try there will be better.

The Godfather is as good as it gets and that bread when toasted is second to none.

Loved in Ann Arbor, and when I moved back closer to the Detroit area was ecstatic to see them opening on Hall Rd. Great food, the best sandwich is the "Godfather" grilled, trust me when I say that the small is generally big enough - I don't know how anyone can eat the large during a lunch but i'm sure it can be done! Awesome sandwiches!

I have been to other dabellas before and this one just doesn't match up. I got the buffalo chicken and there was little to no sauce on it and I think they for got the cheese. My wife got the cheese steak and it was a similar situation, really light on the cheese and no sauce. Now that could just be someone new not knowing what to do but I will not be back to this one. The place over by Oakland university is always good.....
